Marinna Cardona
Currently works as the Senior Graphic Designer for Signify Health, primarily working on overall company brand projects, campaign/social graphics, sales collateral, and animations/video editing within the Marketing team. Before merging with Signify, Marinna worked for Caravan Health for 3 years in various roles and teams, with her last role as the Senior Graphic Designer in Marketing. Over the past 3.5 years, she has led brand projects that included a typography update, icon rebuild/expansion, and a new color palette for Caravan Health, and now updating all assets, templates, and colors to comply with ADA accessibility guidelines for Signify Health. Within these years, she has introduced video editing/animation as a creative in-house option for Caravan Health and continues to train employees on video guidelines, standards, and programs. She has had experience training a graphic design intern, new design hires, and company-wide over brand guidelines, design standards, and program tips & tricks. Most recently, she branded her third conference for Caravan Health which included her creating environmental items, videos, digital assets, and social promo, while having the opportunity to manage sourcing and printing with vendors, and working within the event brand budget. In addition, Marinna solely created 160 items for this conference - a large feat in itself, while continuing day-to-day creative requests for the marketing team.
Marinna has previous experience working as the Production & Design Specialist for a sports turf manufacturing company that had clients ranging from NFL teams to K-12 schools. There she provided sales deck design and lead the design/printing on a new product brochure. Before that, she worked for the City of Corpus Christi, as their Award-Winning Graphic Designer for 3 years. She worked primarily in the City's In-House Print Shop, gaining exceptional experience in printing and design for a municipal government. Her larger projects at the City consisted of 3 billboards, a beach parking permit, environmental signage for a nature preserve park, company benefit booklets, various logos, and book covers. Working for the City was one of her greatest and funnest accomplishments and she hopes to work in government once again.
Marinna is originally from Corpus Christi, TX, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Del Mar College at the age of 18. This was a big accomplishment, as she went to an Early College High School that allowed students to receive an Associates degree and a High School Diploma at the same time. She was taking college-level classes at the age of 14. She then went on to earn a BFA in Communication Design from Texas State University in May 2015. She is currently working on an MFA in Communication Design from Texas State University and will be graduating December 2023. She is currently researching and writing a Thesis on imposter syndrome in the design industry.
Marinna is looking to continue and expand her career in design, print, product marketing, branding, animation, motion design, and video editing. With her professional experience as a Graphic Designer for the past 7 years and with her future MFA degree, she hopes to create and be a part of great projects in the near future.
